Academics

Based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations in 2015, this course will help students to develop key 21st-century leadership skills whilst tackling issues that are increasingly important to modern teenagers, through creative projects and local action.

WEEKLY THEMES

Each weekly theme is based on an SDG:

  • Goal 13. Climate Action
  • Goal 4. Quality Education
  • Goal 3. Health and Well-being
  • Goal 1. No Poverty (and Goal 10. Reduced inequality)
  • Goal 16. Peace, justice, and strong

GUEST SPEAKERS

Young Leaders will benefit from guest speakers from leading brands, twice per week such as:

Mayor of Oxford, Craig Simmons
Military and Leadership Consultant, Kathie Knell MBE

ACADEMIC WORKSHOPS

Young Leaders will have an opportunity to put their learning in context with weekly academic workshops held in iconic locations, such as:

• Bodleian Library, University of Oxford
• Blavatnik School of Government
• Oxford Union, University of Oxford

INTERACTIVES LECTURES

Modeled on university-style learning, interactive lectures provide content for discussion in groups as well as a constant interaction between the tutor and the audience. The interactive lectures are carefully constructed to benefit and correspond to the student’s project for the week.
