Overview

Classic High School is the traditional high school program that most students choose. This is the perfect choice for students who want a genuine exchange experience. We match you with a carefully selected host family and high school in Australia. You can be placed in a bustling big city, charming coastal town, or on the countryside close to the nature. This is the program for you that are open-minded, and excited to try new things. It doesn’t matter which of our exchange programs in Australia you choose, you will be staying with a caring Australian host family. Your host family will introduce you and give you a close insight into the Australian culture.

All our families look different – some live in the city or on the countryside, others by the coast, some have children, others do not. What they all have in common is that they are excited about welcoming you into their home and their Aussie lives.

In all schools they promote diversity and strive to create global citizens through an inclusive school environment, expanding the study of languages and developing students’ ability to communicate across cultures.

Academics

Queensland Government schools offer an outstanding curriculum and one of the best performing education systems in the world.

Queensland Government schools provide a blend of academic, vocational, sports and arts studies designed to encourage a student’s full potential.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) courses are available in most schools and many schools offer special programs, such as marine science, agricultural science, performing arts or elite sporting programs.

Queensland Government schools have extensive resources and facilities to support innovation and 21st century learning including eLearning technology, computer, science and multimedia laboratories and academic, vocational, creative arts and sports facilities.

All teachers are highly qualified and recognise each student’s individual academic, social and emotional needs. Students are encouraged to harness their unique talents, develop a love of lifelong learning and fulfil their potential.

In all schools they promote diversity and strive to create global citizens through an inclusive school environment, expanding the study of languages and developing students’ ability to communicate across cultures.

We encourage international students to take part in the extracurricular activities available at their school. Joining extracurricular clubs and sports teams is a great way for students to enrich their high school experience, as well as make new friends with similar interests.
