Discovery Summer is an independent, family-owned company, founded in 2002. The owners and team have extensive experience in running summer schools. The Head Office team of five, together with external consultants with specialist knowledge in education, dedicate their time throughout the year to developing exciting, innovative, and challenging programs for children, teenagers, and families.

Discovery Summer runs short, intensive summer courses in five well-known independent boarding schools and in two well-appointed teaching centers in Kensington, London. The student experience is hugely enhanced by living and studying in these first-rate campuses with many outstanding facilities.

By learning new skills, trying new activities, and enjoying new experiences – in English – our students discover talents they never thought they had! They get to know our culture, our country, make British friends and share this experience with new friends from many cultures around the world.

This camp is run at ACS Cobham is located on a private estate, 24km from central London, Heathrow, and Gatwick airports are 45 minutes away.

The outstanding sporting facilities include an impressive indoor 25m 6-lane swimming pool, a first-rate sports hall, a dance studio, a modern gym, an Olympic-sized athletics track, football pitches, and 6 all-weather tennis courts. There is also a state-of-the-art 500-seat theatre, drama, art studio, and IT suites.


ENGLISH ( 6 Hours)

Apply language to real-world situations – analyze and debate current issues (e.g. DNA editing, fake news)

Improve core skills and technical accuracy
Enhance fluency through stimulating, collaborative sessions
Develop strong powers of expression, both written and verbal (IB skills)


Develop an entrepreneurial mindset and learn the important steps to becoming a confident young leader

  • Develop a concept, research your market, create and present your product
  • Solve problems and devise creative solutions through the introduction of business project


Choose a topic that ignites your interest and develop a persuasive presentation

  • Learn how to present before an audience – engage, inspire and persuade
  • Explore a range of practical techniques and develop your confidence

STEM (6 Hrs)

Use scientific and mathematical knowledge to design, evaluate and make a ‘mechanical device’

  • Conduct basic experiments in a science laboratory – evaluate evidence, think logically and solve real-world problems
  • Collaborate on practical tasks. Projects integrate science, technology, engineering, and maths

In addition, they offer MENTORING SERVICE:

Students are assigned a staff ‘mentor’ who will help them to identify and meet their personal goals.

Co-curricular activities

A wide range of activities are offered each week on Cobham’s amazing campus:

  • Arts & Crafts, Carnival Drumming, Ceilidh (traditional dancing), Circus skills/Magic, Cooking, Disco/karaoke, Drama, Film making, Geocaching     (GPS treasure hunt), photography, Survival Skills,

2 excursions each week e.g. London (Thames river cruise, West End musical), Hampton Court Palace, Brighton, Oxford (guided walking tour, museums, punting), Chessington, Warner Bros Studios (Harry Potter).
